Airlines / Greece

Olympic Air is an airline from Greece. Its codes are OA (IATA) and OAL (ICAO), and its radio callsign is “OLYMPIC”.

History

Olympic Air took the place of Olympic Airlines (until 2009).

What the codes mean

The two-character IATA code is the one on tickets, boarding passes and flight numbers (OA 123). The three-letter ICAO code is used in flight plans and by air traffic control. The radio callsign is what pilots and controllers say on the radio: a flight filed as OAL123 is called “OLYMPIC one two three”.
